About Me

My photo
My life's purpose is best described by: Be the change you want to see in the world: Gandhi. Smiling is my "botox"-FORGET THE DRUGS AND SURGERY. I spice up my life, not my diet, which is SIMPLY DELICIOUS on its own. KISS: I Keep it simple sugars-from whole, fresh, ripe, raw, organic fruits (veggies, some nuts/seeds too). The 811rv motto is: simplicity at mealtime, variety throughout the year. My motto is: I live in my own little world, but it's ok they all know me there. At some point, you have to realize that some people can stay in your heart, but not in your life.

If I had a dollar for every time...

True wealth of course is measured more by one's health than by monetary values;nonetheless, expressions such as my title, indicate money's relative importance to human society. So let's get the ball rolling.

If I had a dollar for every time...

1)Someone asked me, where do you get your (insert nutrient in here) from ?...

2)Someone tried to use a scare tactic on me to put down my lifestyle in order to justify their own...

3)Someone quoted some outdated nutritional propaganda like "don't you have to combine your foods to get your protein?"...

4)Someone gave me some lame excuse as to why they can't (fill in the blank-my favourites are eat raw foods, exercise, or give up chocolate)...

5)Someone said, "that's great for you, but I could never"...

Obviously, my diet and lifestyle are very much in the minority right now so I would probably be very financially rich if I counted all the negative comments or questions that people say to me. But the times are changing-thank goodness.

So what would I do with all that money? At this point, with all the changes I've made to my life, I honestly don't know. It certainly would not be the same as a few years ago, that's for sure.

How about you-what are the things people say/ask the most about your diet and lifestyle?

I've heard the same comments that you have. Here's a few more comments/questions that I've heard frequently:

1) You can get too much potassium from all those bananas.

2) Are you going to eat ALL of that? (referring to my huge salads or large plates of fruit)

3) You need to eat some meat and put some meat on your bones.

4) Are you still on that diet? (Many people can't see why I would choose to eat this way forever.)

5) Don't you ever get tired of ________? (insert fruit of choice)

I would use the money to buy some land on a tropical island full of fruit trees and create my own paradise :o)

Actually the most frequent q I get is at the grocery store - "What are you gonna make with all those bananas?"
