About Me

My photo
My life's purpose is best described by: Be the change you want to see in the world: Gandhi. Smiling is my "botox"-FORGET THE DRUGS AND SURGERY. I spice up my life, not my diet, which is SIMPLY DELICIOUS on its own. KISS: I Keep it simple sugars-from whole, fresh, ripe, raw, organic fruits (veggies, some nuts/seeds too). The 811rv motto is: simplicity at mealtime, variety throughout the year. My motto is: I live in my own little world, but it's ok they all know me there. At some point, you have to realize that some people can stay in your heart, but not in your life.

Home sweet home

Traveling so much this year has been exciting, yet exhausting. Living out of a back pack is fun for a while, but does get old.

I'm working at settling into permanent residency in Costa Rica. This is where my heart and soul feels best.

It feels so nice to be back here, where I belong.

Hello,
Can I ask you a question that is not related to the present article?
I was told that you have a 811rv dog. Is that correct? Can you tell us about the alimentation of your dog.
Thank you very much.

Dear Alan,

I had to adopt out my dogs because of my traveling lifestyle. For 3 years before I adopted them out, I fed them a raw vegan diet;but certainly not an 811rv diet. I found my dogs needed much more fat. They did well on durians(they absolutely went gaga for them), avocados and other more fatty foods. I did feed them some more carb rich foods like bananas too; but overall they did better with at least 50% of calories coming from raw fat. Since I've adopted them out, the new owners have continued with vegan kibble and they still love, as well as beg, for some fruit occasionally from what I've been reported by their owners. They are natural omnivores, but I found my dogs were healthier with more fat than natural frugivores like us humans and other anthropoid apes.

Alan, I forgot to add coconut flesh. In Costa Rica, I've seen many dogs live off coconut almost exclusively for 12 years or more. My dogs loved coconut very much. I would also feed them nut butters. I would make patés for them, even adding a little greens and other veggies with the butters.
